John has spent over 40 years in the fitted furniture industry, developing his skills, eye for detail, and reputation for delivering high-quality work. Over the years, he’s helped transform countless homes, earning the trust of customers who value craftsmanship and reliability.
After many years working within the industry, we decided to create HDS Bedrooms — a business that reflects how we believe things should be done.
For us, that means keeping things straightforward, offering honest advice, and giving customers more flexibility in how they choose to improve their homes. Whether someone wants a full installation or simply high-quality products to fit themselves, we’re here to support them in a way that suits their needs and budget.

At HDS Bedrooms, we believe that a fitted bedroom should be made around your home — not the other way around.
Every piece of furniture we manufacture is individually designed and made to the exact millimetre, allowing us to make the most of every available inch of space. From awkward corners and uneven walls to full-height storage, we design your furniture around your room rather than trying to make standard-sized products fit.
The internals of our fitted furniture, including shelving and storage components, are manufactured using 18mm MFC from Egger, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of decorative and furniture boards.
Using 18mm board provides a strong, substantial construction that is designed for everyday use and long-term durability.
We don't compromise on the construction of our furniture by using thinner 15mm MFC or hardboard backs. We believe the quality of the materials hidden inside your furniture is just as important as the finish you see on the outside.
Our framed sliding doors are manufactured using high-quality aluminium systems.
Aluminium offers a number of advantages over traditional steel systems. It is lightweight while remaining strong and rigid, making it particularly well suited to sliding wardrobe doors. Aluminium is also naturally resistant to corrosion and does not rust in the same way that steel can, helping your door frames maintain their appearance over time.
The lighter weight of aluminium can also contribute to smoother operation and puts less load on the sliding mechanism.
Most importantly, our sliding door systems are designed as part of your individual wardrobe rather than being an afterthought.
Our drawer boxes are manufactured from high-quality steel and come with a soft-close mechanism as standard.
Soft-close technology allows the drawers to close smoothly and quietly, providing a quality feel every time you use them.
We believe features such as soft-close drawers shouldn't be considered an expensive upgrade — they should be part of a well-designed fitted bedroom.
Our glass doors use Lacobel safety-backed glass, combining a contemporary appearance with added safety.
Lacobel provides a sleek, modern finish that can be used to create a statement within your bedroom while giving your fitted furniture a premium appearance.
With a range of colours and finishes available, glass can be incorporated into your design to complement the rest of your room.
Our vinyl wrap doors are supplied specifically for the individual measurements required for your project.
Rather than designing a wardrobe around a selection of standard-sized doors, we manufacture the furniture and doors to work together as one bespoke system.
This allows us to achieve the proportions and finish required for your individual room.
